Know Why and How?

Know why and how you are going to use it. Following is a list of questions that you need to ask yourself. Keep a notebook that you can write down all this information. Because it will be hard to remember which RV has which amenities. We where having trouble remembering and that is how our YouTube channel and blog was born. We figured we could record it and watch it when we needed to use it. Then we decided to share it with you so that it may help you on your journey as well.

RV Buying Tips Checklist

  • How many people will be staying in it at any time? I’m talking about if you have young family members that may soon be marring or friends that are still having children. Children that may be moving back home, or a parent that may have to move in with you soon. No one likes to be left out. If this information is helping you make sure you sign up to our newsletter by clicking here.
  • How are you going to use it? For normal camping at a campground, boondocking (no hookups), tailgating (Nascar, sporting events), staying at family’s houses, working, etc. The use will determine what amenities you will need. For instance if you boondock, tailgate, or stay at extended family members houses, you may not have power, water, or sewer hookups. Which means that you would need the right size water and sewer tanks for the amount of people you will be accommodating, and generator or a solar power system. Also it will affect what type of AC and fridge you will need.
  • What will you be bringing with you? Such as a boat, ATV, kayaks, fishing equipment, jeep, motorcycle, bicycles, large karaoke equipment, hunting equipment, hiking equipment, or any other hobbies that anyone may have. Will you need a toy hauler or and tow behind and how much storage space you will need.
  • How much cooking will you be doing? Will you be eating out a lot or cooking outside and/or inside? this will determine what size kitchen you will need and if you will need and outdoor kitchen, pantry size and such.
  • What type of weather will you be dealing with? lots of rain, below 0 temps, dry and very hot? This will determine how many and what type of ACs, Heaters, and awnings you will need. If you will need heat pads on your tanks, and if you will need 1, 2 ,3, or all season camper.
  • How many bathrooms will you need? or will you be using a campground facilities.
